I have been using Dollar Bank as my main banking source for over 10 years now.
The tellers take time to explain. The also help work through problems and develop solutions for every request or problem that I have ever had. Most of all they don’t just see me as a number but as a person as they greet me with a smile and call me by my first name when I am standing in line to do my banking.
Although I think that their fee just to use the phone service is outrageous, I can understand why they do this.
Every company has expenses and if customers are using too much of their phone time then it is going to cost the owner of the Bank. I also can see the other strategy they want to encourage. They want to encourage people to do their banking online or in person. It cuts back on the amount of phone calls coming in for people wanting to check their balance, etc. It gets people to the website, which all businesses try to do which in turn the number of phone calls is severely cut in half due to the fact that they charge people for calls.
If they had to answer every question it wouldn’t give them time to do their work! So the amount of phone calls is dropped due to the extra benefit of being able to see your account online and of banking with them. The bank owner doesn’t have outrageous bills to operate the bank, they got you to their site, and you are not charged a fee for checking your balance, everyone is happy.
I am extremely happy that such a service is offered due to the fact that I work very hard for my money only to see it being given to a bank for phone fees!!! Remember you can only spend your money once!
Another added bonus is that when they see my dog in the car they send over a dog treat for her. My dog loves them too!
Dollar Bank is the best in my book!
